TITLE: “Cliffside Malibu : An Addiction Treatment Center Providing Hope to the Hopeless”
SPECIAL GUEST: Richard Taite
Cliffside Malibu CEO and founder, Richard Taite, will share with Allen and Dr. Melody how he overcame addiction and used the knowledge he learned in his recovery to build one of the most successful addiction treatment centers in the world.
Richard will discuss what sets Cliffside Malibu’s top-notch, evidence-based treatment protocol at the forefront of the industry. Most important, he will share his message of hope that addiction can be overcome for good.
Cliffside Malibu CEO and founder Richard Taite has lived in the Los Angeles area his entire life. He graduated from UCLA with dreams of becoming a lawyer, but addiction intervened. It took Rich a decade of struggle to recover from addiction. When he finally did, he thought he would live the American dream and was able to purchase his ideal home in Malibu, with 180-degree white-cap ocean views. But in July of 2005, Richard opened Cliffside Malibu, a boutique eighteen bed addiction treatment facility for men and women, in the house he once believed would be his home forever. Since then, the joy in his life has only expanded.
Richard gave more than his house to Cliffside Malibu. He and his team also developed one of the most successful addiction treatment protocols in the world. Cliffside Malibu uses treatment methods based on the Stages of Change model, a model of change that worked for Rich’s own recovery. It is understanding this change process that has made Cliffside Malibu successful in helping people recover. All treatment is holistic and highly individualized, based on the specific needs of each client and given in a supportive, safe, luxurious environment. The combination of highly individualized programs, intensive one-on-one psychotherapy, and holistic treatment for the mind, body, and spirit that has made Cliffside Malibu one of the most successful treatment centers in the country.
Richard believes in the precept of respect – respect for the healing process, the client, and the professionals who put love into their work and create a meaningful plan for recovery for all their charges.
